My first dog and cat were intense. Stray terrier mix. Street cat. Wild prey drives and survival instincts. Super tuned into my guidance and my needs, but my girls thought for themselves. They were superb at their jobs. They were clever beasts. Now I have a giant muppet of a dog who forgets to poop unless I remind him. My cat is sharp, but he only applies himself to treat dispensing puzzle toys. I love my precious boys to bits and pieces, but thank goodness I don’t need working beasts anymore 😂
