It’s not often when you’re watching a musical that a flock of squawking geese flying south for the winter swoop through the auditorium, but that’s what happened last night when we were watching The Highwayman at the Verulamium open air theatre! Amazing to think that (nearly) 2000 years ago the Roman citizens of Verulamium (St Albans) sat watching plays in this very same place. HistoryThreads
