Look at the cars. Frantic, terrified parents. Not knowing if their kids were okay - some could get through by text. Some could not. My in-laws lived this experience with my husband. But years and year ago before students had text messages. They drove to the high school not knowing who was alive and who was dead. Then it was a teacher and a janitor and my husband was a hostage in a classroom. Today, it’s more than that. It was too many then. It’s too many now. Eff thoughts and prayers.
