Totally, that's why I like the shared Google Doc so much, especially if revisions happen--both the client and myself can refer back to it in real time as the project progresses. I sometimes also update the doc with a timeline section where I detail the dates that certain milestones were hit and which files were sent so I don't have to sift through emails.
