Some loved reading it that way. I listened to the audiobook and there's just no way

I’ve done both reads (tandem & not) & I prefer the not for sure! They’re different tones, paces, etc. & just love specifically the story arc in ToD just as it is!

The tandem was actually pretty easy but I did not enjoy it at all. You’d get to a clutch moment in one book then it would make you jump to the other book. By the time you come back to that pivotal moment the magic of it has died & it’s no longer as exciting as it could have been.

I tandem read them and I really enjoyed it. However, if I was going to do it again in the future I wouldn’t follow the chart I did because switching books nearly every chapter was completely unnecessary. Then again the way the tandem read was setup was exactly like reading CC3 😅 But I also wasn’t sure if I was going to like TOD because of all the hate it gets and it’s one of the strongest books in the series IMO.

I did the tandem read because I KNOW I would have forgotten everything that happened in EOS once I got to TOD so that way I was able to read the part where Chaol says “Aelin would never go to skulls bay” and then immediately be like “oh shit Aelin is in skulls bay” 😂

I feel the same. Both books are so full of information and so special in their own ways. I did not do a tandem read and couldn't fathom doing it but I'm happy for the people that did and liked it

I enjoyed the tandem read. There’s a few parts that line up perfectly and have a big impact. But I would have devoured ToD all by itself as well because it’s sooo good.
