In the wake of yet another school shooting, I had to look back at the texts between my oldest son, my wife and I during the STEM school shooting in Colorado (where he went at the time). We didn’t know if these would be the last texts we would have with our child. Gun violence in schools is very much on the ballot for me every year, but it is personal in a way that I couldn’t understand until that day in 2019. This election is both urgent and important.
