Ok, food for thought. I work at Walmart. If I take ANY gift or tip I can be fired. Now, how much Alito and Thomas taken? Who would have a reason to give these to them UNLESS it was a bribe?

I worked for the federal government for 39 years and know two government employees that lost their job for accepting a $75 meal from a government contractor. Rules are for everyone but I guess only people that don’t have connections and money make the difference.

Any civil servant cannot take a gratuity worth over $10 (14 years ago when I worked in the industry. May have been adjusted) or they can go to jail.

I worked in radiation oncology, a patient just completed his treatments and was pleased with how he was treated. He took a fifty dollar bill out of his pocket and said if the group went out together he would like to buy us a drink. I thanked him for the thought but not necessary.

Well, you should’ve stayed in school and worked as hard as they did. Maybe you could have become a Supreme Court Justice. But here you are as a greeter at Walmart. Go figure.

I work for local government and I can’t accept anything over $20. The justices not losing their jobs for accepting millions is infuriating.

Exactly! This is why the Supreme Court has a huge problem. They are no longer respected except by corrupt judges and politicians. We all should have believed Rice along time ago!!
