These days I’m realizing more and more how much being first gen is such a struggle. Not because I am one but because I’m being asked questions now that I always thought everyone knew. Someone told me they never knew about 80 hour works weeks for residents until 3rd year. Someone also had no idea there’s so many exams even if you don’t go abroad. Another didn’t even know the difference b/w assistant professor and lecturer and didn’t know who our faculty was or how significant that is. I just-
