There’s a fine line here. I’m totally with you not to overthink it. I’m guilty of perfection preventing me from being done. But sometimes it just sounds off. What I’ll do is layering, have an element tight to the grid and layer a human take over it to keep the texture and feel. I do this a lot with drums, and guitars over synths.
