TND is easily the most fun and traditionally Bondian of this group, but I give props to the overly maligned SPECTRE for sinking its teeth into death as its theme from frame one. Next time you watch it, pretend that Bond didn’t survive Blofeld’s torture chair, and that everything which followed is his dying fever dream. It becomes a far more interesting movie, and I believe Bond’s “death” is entirely intentional, Trojan Horsed into the formula by Mendes and Logan.

QUANTUM. Watch it as the only true direct sequel in the series and also marvel at its absolute beauty. It's flawed, sure, but it's incredible.

I think I may be the only one who loved QOS . Yes I know it is horribly edited and the villain is a weenie but it has some great action set pieces. I still think the opening car chase and especially the scaffold fight are top notch. And I'm totally in the minority that I absolutely hate Skyfall! It's like Bond's greatest hits: he abandons MI6 (Die Another Day), the villain is a disgruntled ex agent (Goldeneye) and don't get me started on that theme song by Adele. Eeew!!!
