AuthorThreads Authors, what is your view on the word “that”? I had a copywriting (for advertising) lecturer who hated it, said if you knew the word of whatever it was place holding, use the word. And in other instances that it was unnecessary. (Like I just did then). Myself, I do my best to honour said hatred yet when I bring it up to other writers usually get scoffee, no sugar.
