During our first visit to Cologne, Germany, we chose a restaurant on Mautstraße with outdoor seating. We ordered dinner and soon after, our drinks arrived. Then a couple sat down at an adjacent table, upwind of ours, ordered a single espresso and then proceeded to chain-smoke four cigarettes.(1/3).

It's disgusting. The airports here also still have smoking rooms like it's 1995. They make all the gates around them smell like cigarettes. It's bizarre. I guess they have free healthcare to take care of them when their habit affects their health.
