Well, I feel seen. I'm somewhat opposite. I've had plenty of women tell me they've loved me over the years, but come to find out they love what I can do, or am for them, and not actually me as an individual.

You were not adored, cherished...saying I love you is a natural progression when one cannot live without you.

Don’t feel bad… I have been going solo since I was thrust into single parenting when I was 26, and I am almost 60 now. I spent a lot of years just getting by, and I have spent the last 25 years just working on me. Feel the same about not feeling like I ever had a good relationship. Over the last couple of years I started doing things I enjoy, and I like where I am at in life. I don’t think I want it any different now. Happiness can’t come from others, once I grabbed that thought I enjoy myself.

Don’t give up. I’ve come to believe that as long as we don’t give up hope, good things will come to us. I didn’t meet a good man until I was 39…I was so close to giving up on love.
