Do we have a right to true privacy on the internet? Should law enforcement engage in law enforcement? And does privacy mean absolute freedom? Encryption cannot be weakened for the benefit of governments and law enforcement without weakening it for everyone. Such a right extends to a failure to perform basic duties of care to the society at large to some, and equals mass surveillance to others. Curious where we are going to draw the line.
