Surfing is like church to people like my husband, who are chasing the same high they felt when they caught their first wave. It’s a ritual that has the unique ability to remind you that you are a small part of a big planet that we need to care for & respect. Additionally, we owe surfing to the ancient Hawaiians, whose culture & people were decimated by colonization. (2/3)
