It not only leads to a lack of communal transport, accommodating with lengthened routes puts kids on buses for an hour or more. Then, many communities don't have safe pedestrian infrastructure. Lastly, if you're also moving about in a car, what might be better options for walking, biking, or ride sharing? "You aren't in traffic, you are traffic."
