I have been trying to do homeschooling with my 10 year old niece while I have her (long story but she’s staying with me for a couple of weeks) and I’m already so overwhelmed and exhausted I could cry. How do people do this for an entire school year? And what can I do to make this easier and feel like I’m actually teaching her anything at all?

Bc if you’re making it all yourself, just for a short period, without time to settle into a routine and a sense of what works for you, that’s going to be unusually brutal. Can/are you taking advantage of the short time, and making it project/interest based? If everything is anchored in, eg, her love of dolphins, your life could get easier. Sea math, ocean stories, how do waves work, etc.
18 小時內	MeShell foodbookforest	hey so that’s not really an uncommon feeling when you’re starting, especially if you haven’t homeschooled before. there are some great human friendly curriculums out there or you can tap into things called unit studies that are perfect for a few weeks of interest or project based learning.
