This morning we took Ali & Trisha’s mum’s ashes & sprinkled them in her favourite spot here in Penang. No sooner had the sea washed in and carried her out than a man came along the beach followed by a jostling flock of pigeons. He was sprinkling grain and was able to conduct them like a bustling orchestra. A raised arm meant come to me. A turn of the back was the signal to follow. It was a fitting send off for Alice Pamela Hope Ballantyne. Champagne will flow.
