The roadmap: - Perfecting the plugins with the help of the community - People can use the new editor and media manager installing the plugins for a period of time - The plugins are included in core with an option to select them for use instead of the classic editor/old media library and a deprecation notice is put in place. This lasts a period of time. - The old code is removed and the new editor and media library stay (2/3)
