Unpopular opinion right now, unfortunately; US federal government is much too large and intrusive. We need to start eliminating and consolidating useless, inefficient and redundant departments and agencies and staff- like the department of education for example- many others .. we are more bloated than a week old whale corpse floating in the sea.. reduce the massive spending and start paying down the national debt.
