Been waiting for the release of lainnnnnnnn :3 and she's up now! Serial Experiments Lain is a great series, well worth a watch. It explores some solid themes including; self identity and perception, reality Vs paranoia, friendships, communication, social alienation, tech reliance, and the divide between real-world and online personas/behaviours. It's visually striking, with visual themes and use of sound for mood-setting. Produced in 1998/1999 it was kinda of ahead of its time.
