Every new social network has the problem of adverse selection, where the ones most desperate for attention will post at the highest frequency, thinking they can get in early enough to carve out a big piece of the attention pie. They're desperate to be the first at it because they're coming from other networks where the algorithm has calcified towards favoring a block of preferred users and downrank everybody else.
