That’s not how I’ve been taught to use them! Your birth chart is eternal and should always be viewed as the foundation. Progressed charts are like a layer on top of it, best used for timing/predictions.

I use both. I use the progressed chart to show me who I am and what I should be focused on currently but the natal will always be my core personality.

Look at both & all timing techniques. The most pivotal life moments will have an overlap in multiple charts. You may have Pluto opposite sun in transit, while having pluto sextile sun in progressed etc. Etc. But the theme of Pluto/Sun will very much be relevant.

I need help understanding this, too. My progressed sun is in Taurus. I was born a 29° Pisces. Am I more Taurean now?
