In the light of Julian Assange’s plea deal, I’ve been thinking about him and his tragic life. I think it’s significant that what really caught him up initially was a sexual harassment charge - one it took him a very long time to get dismissed. I put this together with his admirable passion for exposing secrets of government wrongdoing, and I think that, as with so many people, the personal and professional became commingled here. /
