Like, this is where we need to be with sexuality in media. It just needs to exist without being some major plot element or the dominant defining characteristic, because it's normal and it's natural. Like the kid in Disney's Strange World being gay. The "does he doesn't he like me" part was fun, but that it was two boys wasn't even brought up at all, because it was just a natural way of life.
