Teacher win This year I have a class of students who all scored unsatisfactory on their eighth grade ELA standardized test. We're starting the year out by reading The Outsiders. Today, we had our first mini Socratic Seminar and they BLEW ME AWAY with their thoughts on the book and the morals portrayed in it. They also started to pick up on the foreshadowing in the second chapter, despite not having been taught foreshadowing. They're brilliant. They just don't know it yet. 💜
