Tennessee responded to seeing a saddle by showing us her teeth. So we used a gentle two halter system to keep everyone safe and went really slow. By the end, she was letting us take it on and off and fiddle with the girth without any tension. No riding. Just reintroducing basics to this rescue now that her back has been declared sound.
