I continue to believe that Live Activities in the Dynamic Island is a good idea, poorly executed. And then left to fester without improvement. A common trait of Apple’s software these days.

They have seemed to have become a bit like old Samsung in recent years--throw out features, make a big deal upon release, then ignore them. 3D touch and the Mac touchbar both got virtually no mention shortly after release, lived on in a "zombie" mode for years with limited app support and no real improvements by Apple, only to finally be quietly dropped.

What’s “poorly executed” about it? It works well and gets new features in most major iOS updates.

It has only existed in three phone models the 14Pro, 15 and 15pro. As well, it’s dependent on the devs figuring out how best to use it. Not all apps need it. Many of the apps that do use it, use it as a status bar with key actions, which is what it’s meant for. You might not use it, but I do, and value the convenience it provides.

What do you mean by poorly executed exactly. They were made for live activities. And they do just that. On top of being a solution for a hardware limitation. I fail to see how you fail to see this
