Tipping culture in America is really insane. My wife sent this screenshot yesterday… I don’t understand why people feel so entitled to tips before doing any work.

It’s absolutely wild. I’m personally revolting against all of it. I’m only tipping for exceptional service, fuck all that

These apps are for convenience. Someone’s doing your tasks. Service fees don’t normally go to the person. I get where you’re coming from unfortunately this isn’t how the system is set up. It’s not the persons fault for doing a job it’s how the American system is so you either tip or go to the store yourself. I mean imagine the person was getting $20 an hour then I can imagine instacart would be charging you astronomical fees to make up for that charge then you’d probably not use their platform.

Yes, let’s argue with one another over $3 rather than blame the company for a) not paying their employees enough for their labor and b) overcharging both for items and exhorbident fees

Life is about choices. You don't want to pay the person doing the service for you... you can do it yourself. 🤷♂️

I think it’s insane to not want to do your own shopping and not tipping/paying someone to do it for you. 🤷♂️
