So I think I’m an experienced traveler? Wrong! Flew in Edinburgh. Aware that I’m walking Hadrian’s Wall for 5 days soon, so went to an ATM, got cash, might be necessary. Then travelled down Newcastle. Only realised now that the ATM fed me all SCOTTISH notes. No one takes them in England. 1/2

4 分鐘內	Tom Coppinger tomcoppinger	2/2 Went to 2 banks to change the notes for proper Sterling. They refused to do so. Tried a moneychange. Nope. Was panicking, thinking I was going to stuck w all this Scottish money until I revisited Scotland. Last chance, the Post Office. The lady didn’t want to, but sighed, took pity on me, and did the exchange. Hallelujah! Lesson learned.

4 小時內	John Christensen jjchris0818	Happens with N Ireland notes too. The legal tender arguments work. I’m an American, work for N Ireland company, in England frequently. Since adopting this : no issues
4 小時內	Alex terriblegibberish	They should be accepted in England, they’re accepted tender, sadly too many people aren’t told about it and you get a lot of jobsworth shop managers and so on telling staff to not take them.
