Fast forward, I met a friend who everything seemed OK and then learned about his family history of schizophrenia and drug abuse at the time I didn’t think anything of it let’s just be honest Black people are resilient and function through mental health and drug issues all the time. But I got to know him I realize he was experiencing hallucinations and paranoia, he had no idea and the more he tried to make him aware of it the worse it would be so I got the hell on.
