Ontario self-pub authors, particularly with pen names, I have a question that I can't find a clear answer elsewhere. Do I need to register a business name for the publisher name I put for my self-pub books? Does this count as doing business as something other than my name? What do I need to do to protect the publisher name from being used elsewhere? I'd only be publishing my works, and I think I have it set up to pay to me/my legal name as the registrant, so AFAIK, that's all CRA considers.
