This is a good romp, and I learned things. Yes I hate Ayn Rand, but BOTH because her ideas were fascist AND she was a horrible storyteller. The political Right indeed hates America *as it is today*. But it still bugs me that such a successful authoritarian movement is not only abhorrent in its ideology, but also just so dumb — taking metaphor literally, grabbing onto easy, self-serving answers like they’re life jackets.
