Y’all can we add some NUANCE and MODERATION back into these declarations? Not everything has to be black & white. -Hairspray can be toxic, but you don’t have to wear a respirator when you’re melting your lace front. Nuance this conversation before you freak people out thinking they can’t touch Got2B without mutating. -You can enter a cosplay comp JUST because you want to win. It’s how you Moderate your own emotions and reactions that matter. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to win. 1/2

7 小時內	Dodo the_crafting_dodo	This! 💯 1) I think we saw the same video reshared here and I feel heavily about airbrush colour being said to be toxic, too. It’s not the colour that is toxic. Just as with hair spray, you should not inhale stuff. airbrush acrylics are actually formulated not to contain toxic/cancerous substances BECAUSE they might be used in an airbrush. 2) I have both seen people entering to win and entering for fun having inappropriate reactions to the outcome of comps. It comes down to being mature or not.

Too many people out there still dodging respirators for stuff like resin fumes, paints etc. Telling people various things are toxic doesn’t teach them what they need to know about VOC’s.
