I went to a concert last night - someone I wanted to see live, but that I wasn't willing to pay $150 + fees to see. I watched the resale tickets in the hours before the concert and grabbed a ticket for $40. Most of the other resale tickets never went down in price and those seats were empty at the show. Seemed strange that so many people were willing to lose their entire ticket investment? Anyway, it reminded me of how my friends and I saw a lot of concerts in high school for free... (1/3)

幾秒內	Eric Stoen travelbabbo	KILO 94 in Colorado Springs gave away tickets to everything - to the 10th caller or whatever the week before the concert. Well, we never tried to win. Instead we would go to the station at 4:50pm the evening of the concert and ask for tickets that winners hadn't picked up. Right at 5, when they were closing, they would let us take our pick. It worked every time. I mean, we bought tickets for everything we really wanted to see. But for other things... (2/3)

Watched tickets and similar to you bought some when the price ended up being lower than retail. Later it turned out we couldn’t go so I resold them. Rather worrying about if they will sell or making money, I priced them so it was pretty much a wash (and less than all comparable tickets) and they sold quickly. I do like the resale system when it works well.
2 小時內	Jeff jdgconcertgramz	Fun fact: you can use the unsold seats if the ushers are not checking tickets. We looked at Ticketmaster during a show recently and saw 2 front row tickets in our section were unsold during the headliner set and just went down front and used those unsold seats.
3 小時內	Justin tyrianpike	Just had lawn seats for a concert this week, and before the coheadliners started playing there were people coming through the crowd with free upgrade tickets because there was so many empty seats up front. Ended up with $150 face value tickets for like $45.
4 小時內	Lauréline laurelinevk	Yes when you’re buying resale you generally have an idea where those seats are, so it’s interesting to see if they get filled. I remember Madonna’s Madam X many scalpers lost a fortune because there were still so many unsold at the concert start

I recently had tix to a concert we couldn’t make and I’d’ve happily given them free so someone could use them but unless someone you know wants to go it’s almost impossible to give them away or for some nominal amount. I listed them for as low a price as I could, no markup, but unsurprisingly they did not sell.
