🧵This feels like the only safe place to post this right now because my followers are mostly strangers. Kind, smart, funny, supportive strangers, but strangers nonetheless. And today that sort of anonymity is a blessing. I know that some of you know me in real life, and that’s okay too. I just need to get this out. On Thursday I lost my sister-in-law. After suffering the unfathomable torture of a major depression, she took her own life, leaving behind a husband and three kids. 🪡

My 13 yr old granddaughter's dad did this last September, and he was also my son's bff since kindergarten so I had known him for 32 years of his 37 on earth.....and I was devastated. Seeing his kids, his current wife, his dad and sister hurting so much and not being able to fix their pain was so horrible. I can relate to how you are feeling. 🫂
一小時內	Todd Hartstein hartsteint	I have come to..."accept" that I just have to live with having suicidal thoughts everyday in regards to my depression/anxiety since I have tried everything in the book to conquer it as far as I'm concerned. Yet, I can't quite get myself to cross that line into doing the worst of the worst to myself. I suppose that's a good thin;, even as I feel like I am nothing much more than a burden to them, I know those close to me would be devastated if I did do that. Again, I am so very, very sorry. 🫂

Last year, a mom I’d been friends with from my kids’ old school died by suicide. I was wrecked for weeks. We don’t get to choose how we metabolize this kind of event. This woman was an artist. I have a beautiful paper cut bookmark she made. Sometimes I pull it out of my nightstand drawer and still am too sad to use it. I wish your family whatever moments of peace and comfort you can find. ❤️
