The BEST time to be in Maharashtra is during Ganesh Chaturthi, especially Mumbai and Pune. Pandals on both sides of the road with some of the prettiest and most mesmerising idols you’ll ever see. People dancing to dhol tasha on the streets. Everyone wearing their best traditional outfits. Going to friends and relatives houses to eat modak and prasad.
