I still consider so many I’ve worked with in the military and law enforcement as family. However, the vast majority have joined the maga cult- and it’s impossible to talk about anything without them reverting back to those talking points, and I don’t want to fight with them. I’ve had to completely cut people off because I don’t want to hurt them. I feel so isolated, and I don’t know what to do about it.
