Best thing I ever did was start building retainer relationships. It may not be huge dollar amounts but it’s still better than banging on doors and cold calling. My workload I’d say is still 25% retainer and 75% gigs. But every month the rent is paid, cats are fed and taxes in the bank. That’s all I can ask for.
