My new favorite bird FINALLY landed on the feeder!! I think this is a bird from South Africa and have no idea how it’s in California. The female also has a red/orange beak but not a fancy tail. birdsofthreads

3 小時內	Eric J. Smith esmith_images	One of these guys landed in my feeder a few weeks ago. I’m in the Hollywood Hills. I had never seen one in my life. It’s a Pin-tailed whydah. The tail was amazing! Most likely pets that were released and are breeding in the wild.
4 小時內	Fabbreview fabbreview	There was one in my backyard a couple years ago in SoCal - long tail and beautiful. Only sighted once.
