Astonishingly, Martha Wainwright did a free show at the Kennedy Center in the Family Theatre! Only an hour so she didn't have time for much of her (many! Complicated!) family stories but she sang old songs (upcoming 20th anniversary of her first record so a re-release is upcoming) and new -- and her vocal instrument -- her range, her belt, her amazing control of pitch and dynamics -- well, it is an amazing blessing to be this close to this much talent. Just so much WOW.
