the m1 is so quick the difference will be impossible to notice. i went from an i5 (2020 13" touch bar) to a 2021 m1 and it was a huge difference, then this year moved to an m3 max 14" and the only difference i've noticed is that it's much more efficient (if i put it in power saving mode on battery it turns all the performance cores off and it's STILL as fast as an m2 pro at full tilt) same with my m1 ipad pro vs my m4 ones. only difference is heat output unless you're benchmarking.
