Do you have people clapping for Nicole Kidman? Is it Stockholm syndrome?

It’s terrible. Feels like Nicole Kidman is being held hostage at AMC at this point.

It’s gotten so bad

There are still a few good theaters out there. Find them and support them. In Colorado, the amc and regal theaters are so bad I know I’ll get a better experience if I wait and watch at home. I drive to a Harkins theater 30 minutes away, even though there are a bunch of amcs that are closer. Harkins shows 10-12 minutes of trailers. Screens are all constant height. Projection and audio are excellent. Audiences tend to be respectful. Their Cine XL screens are massive.

The seats are reserved. Come in 15 minutes late!

I'm Canadian, and I went to a movie in the US recently, there was 30 mins of previews and stuff before the movie started! I couldn't believe it, at home, maybe 15 mins is the usual, but a full 30?!? And the ticket price was already higher then what I pay at home!

I arrive at every movie 20 minutes late and it’s vastly improved my movie going experience

I pretty much just show up for the following showtime🤣 The commercials,ads , promotions, the feel good about spending 70 bucks emotional appeals from Nicole Kidman have run their course… Wait… what was the movie we came to see? 😒

I'm so glad @amctheatres abandoned my town during covid and never returned. The new theater we have is AMAZING! They have actual comfortable seats and a total of 12 minutes of previews.
