Shot in the dark here - and my last Hail Mary - are there any schools that do not require a CNA licensing course to apply for nursing school? I’ve done this shit for years, having a cna license doesn’t have anything to do with a nursing program unless, I’d say, you’ve never experienced it. Also once you become an RN you can’t be a cna and it’s just stupid

After the first year of nursing school you’re eligible to take the CNA exam but it’s not worth it as by the following year you’re an RN anyway with the ADN route. And I’ve never seen a straight BSN program require it either.

It’s not a bad decision to get it because you can definitely tell which nurses have not worked as a PCA by how they communicate and delegate

In example, if there's an aide out and a nurse is willing to stay on and cover the shift. They can. But cannot act as a nurse during that shift. Solely restricted to aides' scope. It happens ALL the time at my long-term care facility.

15 小時內	Lisha _caffeinenchaos_	That last part is fairly ignorant. Being a CNA puts you at a huge advantage before becoming a RN and every person in my cohort was glad they did it. Also, there are rules on what you can and can't do as a nursing student so clinical is heavy on pt care
