I have similar thoughts while using Threads. Technical (be it software engineering or product management or any other discipline) topics doesn’t seem to be promoted much by the algorithm here. Also the fact that Threads algorithm heavily penalises external links, means many who write on their own platform or external platforms have near zero incentive to actively manage an account here and instead rely on existing channel, such as X.
