This was Hazel, one of my great grandma’s high school classmates. Her middle name was Forest, and now Hazel Forest is one of my favorite names ever. Hazel became a teacher after high school and taught home economics and art for 40 years. In 1939, at the age of 33, she married Arthur Schmidt. Hazel was active in the Methodist church and the alumni chapter of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority throughout her lifetime. 💐
