Give it a try and see what happens! Don't feel bad if you don't sell as much in markets as you do online. I have some artist friends that tried the market route and the sales weren't as good as online. So it's good to be open to the experience!

I recommend checking out the market first before vending there to give you an idea of what kind of stalls they have, how busy they get, etc. Where I am there's not a lot of cute art markets, there are craft markets or makers markets but not many people "get it" when it comes to stickers, so I have to experiment a bit and see what works depending on the market's audience. However comic cons etc are different and you'd have better luck there as the attendees do love stickers, keychains, pins etc

We did our first con a few months ago. I recommend starting at a smaller local market first so you don't spend a lot on travel. See if you like it and then invest more in making your setup nicer. And use heights! Never lay things flat on the table. I also learned that people love interactive things, like sample pieces they can touch or a journal they can flip through. Make sure to practice your setup before attending the market. Good luck and have fun!

I've done 3 , the first 2 I didn't make hardly anything if anything and I just tried my 3rd one with a different hosts and liked my experience much better. The hosts really can determine a great experience as well. I will say that in all 3 markets I met some great vendors

I've just started selling at a farmer's market and I've learned so much!! Selling is a skill! The more you do it the better you'll get, in my experience.

i just had my first ever market and some tips i picked up from seeing other artists that did really were 1. mystery bags/gacha machines - people really love to take their chances!!🫣 2. bundle deals + freebies - you can easily upsell certain items if you offer special prices or freebies! 3. booth design! - this was a personal accomplishment for me, but i spent a lot of time and effort in my booth design and it drew a lot of people to my booth! + having good customer service!☺️ so excited for you!

I've done 3 conventions, between 5k and 20k attendees. Here are my MVPs 1) A square terminal in addition to cash. (Bring change) 2) If you can, test out your table setup before the show. I really liked those metal grids that snap together to form cubes. 3) make sure Everything is priced and that prices are clearly marked. Many people don't like asking about prices. 4) have bags to offer if you have physical items. 5) an anti-fatigue mad is worth it's weight in gold. 6) good luck and have fun!
