Star Trek means everything to me. It’s how I survived an abusive childhood, a repressive culture, and eventually found myself again. It’s also why the world has invariably disappointed and discouraged me. We could be better, but we aren’t. We choose to be the way we are and that is and always will be illogical. Happy Star Trek Day.
