The Listeners: Watched two episodes of The Listeners. Was crushed I didn’t have more so immediately downloaded Jordan Tannahill’s book. Riveting source material brought to screen by a filmmaker I love seeing carve out a bigger and bigger place for herself in this business — Janicza Bravo. Plus a stellar lead performance at its core from Rebecca Hall, one that offers maximum access to the character’s inner turmoil. Cannot stop thinking about the hum.

Much to love about this duo. No one gave me a warmer hello than Marin when she arrived, and during the craze of a festival (and in general), that means a lot. One of my favorite things about going to festivals is highlighting newer creators in this space who I know I’m bound to reconnect with when they return w/ new projects. One of em? Simone Faoro.
