Good tips but my big pitfall personally is that I take too long to produce and then start second-guessing all my decisions, in the end I even start hating my song lol

I’d also recommend using a reference track, copy as much of it as you can cuz you’ll get some solid structure. I just submitted two tracks to a label. One didn’t have a reference and it was brutal trying to get those sections laid down.
